About Breezy

”If you don’t like the blues, you got a hole in your soul.”

Reggae, the soundtrack to Jamaican culture, is the musical climax of rhythm, art, and philosophy. More than a genre, reggae channels positivity and harmony through the artist.

The Blues of the Caribbean

Breezy and his band, The Coolers, have taken their passion for Roots Rock Reggae and infused the Chicago’s reggae scene with a perfect blend of originality and classic melodies that dwell into the roots and beauty of reggae.

In 2012, Breezy debut his album Hope; an imaginative journey through a complex, yet smooth vision of classic reggae. The album featured Donald Kinsey from The Wailers, Smoking Joe Thomas from The Peter Tosh Band and Kevin Patrick.

Breezy’s 2013 follow-up Strange Situation, featuring Hurricane on bass, Kevin Patrick on drums, Jasper Stone and Mervyn Belisle on keys, was recorded at JoyRide Studios in Chicago and mixed by Brian Leach, one of the top sound engineers in the world.

The album received rave reviews from multiple magazines both in Europe and in the US.

Breezy performs on a regular basis with Chicago Reggae Legend Hurricane and other Reggae musicians including Donald Kinsey from The Wailers, Smoking Joe Thomas from the Peter Tosh Band, Kevin Patrick, Jasper Stone, Mervyn Belisle and many more.
